เรื่องย่อ
เรื่องราวของอดีตตำรวจหนุ่ม ผู้มีความรู้เรื่องทฤษฎีจิตวิทยาอย่างหาตัวจับยาก แต่ความเชื่อมั่นในหลักวิชาการกลับส่งผลให้เขาทำงานพ ลาด ตัวเองได้รับบาดเจ็บ ส่วนผู้ต้องหาที่เกี่ยวข้องถูกวิสามัญฆาตกรรม จนเขาตัดสินใจลาออกไปเป็นอาจารย์มหาวิทยาลัย นอกจากเปลี่ยนงานแล้ว อาจารย์หนุ่มอดีตตำรวจและภรรยาสาว ยังตัดสินใจ “เริ่มต้นชีวิตใหม่” ด้วยการย้ายบ้าน จากอพาร์ตเมนต์พื้นที่จำกัด ไปยังบ้านเดี่ยวที่มีบริเวณกว้างขวางขึ้น และมี “เพื่อนบ้าน” ที่น่าจะไปมาหาสู่กันได้ แล้วสองสามีภรรยาก็ได้พบเจอกับ “เพื่อนบ้านพฤติกรรมแปลกประหลาด” ที่ค่อยๆ ชักจูงทั้งคู่เข้าสู่เหตุการณ์ฆาตกรรมสะเทือนขวัญสุด วิปริต
