ศุกร์ 13 ฝันหวาน เป็น แฟรนไชส์ของ ภาพยนตร์สยองขวัญ ประกอบไปด้วย ภาพยนตร์สยองขวัญแนวไล่เชือด จำนวนสิบสองภาค ภาพยนตร์โทรทัศน์ หนังสือนวนิยาย หนังสือการ์ตูนคอมมิค วีดีโอเกม และสินค้าจากภาพยนตร์ โดยเนื้อเรื่องส่วนใหญ่เน้นไปที่ เจสัน วอร์ฮีส์ซึ่งเป็นเด็กผู้ชายที่จมน้ำตายในค่าย คริสตัลเลค เนื่องจากความประมาทของพนักงานในค่ายที่ละเลย ทศวรรษต่อมาได้มีข่าวลือว่าทะเลสาบแห่งนี้ถูก สาปแช่ง และเป็นสถานที่ที่มีการฆาตกรรมหมู่ เจสันปรากฏในภาพยนตร์ทั้งหมด ไม่ว่าจะเป็นทั้งนักฆ่าหรือแรงจูงใจในการฆ่า ภาพยนตร์ดั้งเดิมเขียนบทโดย วิคเตอร์ มิลเลอร์ และได้รับการผลิตและกำกับโดย ฌอน เอส คันนิงแฮม อย่างไรก็ตามทั้งคู่ไม่ได้กลับไปเขียนหรือกำกับภาคต่ อใด ๆ ภาพยนตร์เรื่องนี้ทำรายได้กว่า 465,000,000 ดอลลาร์สหรัฐ ในบ็อกซ์ออฟฟิศทั่วโลก ศุกร์ 13 เรื่องแรกได้สร้างขึ้นตาม ฮาโลวีน (1978) ที่ประสบความสำเร็จเป็นอย่างมาก และความสำเร็จของ ศุกร์ 13 เองนั้นทำให้พาราเมาต์พิกเจอส์ซื้อลิขสิทธิ์ของ ศุกร์ 13 มา แฟรงก์ แมนคูโซ จูเนียร์ ซึ่งเป็นผู้ผลิตภาพยนตร์ ยังได้สร้างรายการโทรทัศน์ วันศุกร์ที่ 13: เดอะซีรีส์ หลังจากค่ายพาราเมาต์เปิดตัว ศุกร์ 13 ภาค 6: ชีวิตของเจสัน ทีวีซีรีส์มีเนื้อเรื่องที่ไม่ได้ต่อเนื่องกับแฟรนไช ส์ ทั้งตัวละครและเนื้อหา แต่สร้างขึ้นบนพื้นฐานความคิดของ ความโชคไม่ดีและคำสาปแช่ง ซึ่งเป็นสัญลักษณ์ของภาพยนตร์เรื่องนี้ ในขณะที่แฟรนไชส์เป็นของพาราเมาต์ ภาพยนตร์สี่เรื่องได้ถูกนำมาดัดแปลงเป็นนวนิยาย โดยศุกร์ 13 ภาค 3 ได้ถูกนำมาดัดแปลงจากนักเขียน 2 โดยแยกกัน เมื่อภาพยนตร์ถูกขายให้กับนิวไลน์ซินีมา คันนิงแฮมได้กลับมาเป็นผู้ผลิตและดูแลภาพยนตร์ 2 เรื่องและภาพยนตร์ข้ามฝั่งซึ่งมีตัวละครเฟรดดี้ ครูเกอร์จาก ซีรีส์ภาพยนตร์ฝันร้ายบนถนนเอล์ม ภายใต้นิวไลน์ซินีมา ได้มีการตีพิมพ์นวนิยายเรื่องสั้น 13 เรื่องและหนังสือการ์ตูนคอมมิค ชุดต่าง ๆ ซึ่งมีการปรากฏตัวของเจสัน วอร์ฮีส์
