Plot:

Watchmen เป็นคอมมิคซุปเปอร์ฮีโร่จากค่าย DC Comics ที่ถูกเขียนขึ้นโดย Alan Moore และ Dave Gibbons ซึ่งเป็นเรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับกลุ่ม ซุปเปอร์ฮีโร่ ที่ปราบอาชญากรรมในยุคสงครามเย็น แต่หลังจากที่เกิดเหตุโศกนาฏกรรมขึ้น ทำให้เหล่าฮีโร่ Watchmen ถูกตำรวจตามจับและต้องหลบหนี และสมาชิกบางคนในกลุ่ม Watchmen กลับไปใช้ชีวิตในแบบคนปกติ จนกระทั่งเกิดเรื่องร้ายขึ้นกับสมาชิกคนหนึ่งในกลุ่ม พวกเขาจึงต้องกลับมาทำหน้าที่ซุปเปอร์ฮีโร่อีกครั้ง

โดยฉบับซีรีส์จะดัดแปลงมาจากนิยายภาพชื่อเดียวกันที่ เคยถูกนำไปสร้างเป็นหนังมาแล้วเมื่อปี 2009 โดยฉบับซีรีส์นี้จะอำนวยการสร้างโดย Damon Lindelof จาก The Leftovers และจะมีเนื้อหาร่วมสมัย เกิดขึ้นในยุคปัจจุบัน
