ตัวเอกของเรื่อง เป็นเด็กวัยรุ่นที่ถูกอาของเขาแอบฝึกการเป็นสายลับให ้โดยที่เขาไม่รู้ตัวเอง แต่แล้วเมื่ออาของเขาประสบอุบัติเหตุเสียชีวิต อเล็กซ์สงสัยมากที่การตายของอาไม่เป็นข่าวที่ไหนเลย จึงสืบจนรู้ความจริงว่าอาทำงานเป็นสายลับของ MI6 แล้วอเล็กซ์ก็ถูกหน่วยข่าวกรองนี้ขอให้แฝงตัวเข้าไปใ นโรงเรียนประจำแห่งหนึ่งเพื่อสืบคดีสำคัญที่เกี่ยวข้ องกับการตายของอาเขา นำไปสู่เรื่องราวการผจญภัยแบบสายลับที่ไม่มีใครคาดว่ าเด็กมัธยมคนหนึ่งจะทำได้ ซีรี่ส์ชุดนี้ สร้างจากนิยายดังของแอนโธนี โฮโรวิตซ์ ซึ่งเคยถูกดัดแปลงเป็นหนังมาก่อนในปี 2006 ที่ได้อเล็กซ์ เพ็ตติเฟอร์ มารับบทนำ แต่หากดูตัวอย่างซีรี่ส์แล้วจะพบว่าโทนมีความเป็นผู้ ใหญ่กว่ามากครับ
