ว่าด้วยเรื่องราวที่เกิดขึ้นจริงจาก Five Days at Memorial หนังสือของ Sheri Fink นักข่าวสาวเจ้าของรางวัล Pulitzer Prize นำเสนอเรื่องราวอันสะเทือนใจและน่าหดหู่ของโรงพยาบาล ในท้องถิ่นแห่งหนึ่งหลังจากที่ต้องเจอกับเหตุการณ์พา ยุเฮอริเคนแคทรีนาเข้าถล่มจนสร้างความเสียหาย จนทำให้ผู้ป่วยและเจ้าหน้าที่ทางการแพทย์ต้องเผชิญกั บสภาวะการขาดแคลนน้ำอาหารและไฟ
