เรื่องย่อ
เมืองมิคาโดะในญี่ปุ่น ได้เกิดประตูมิติปริศนาขึ้นและมีสัตว์ประหลาดขนาดยัก ษ์เรียกกันว่า Neighbor (ที่แปลว่าเพื่อนบ้าน) ปรากฏออกมาจากประตูมิติและเข่นฆ่ามนุษย์ทำลายบ้านเมื อง แม้กองกำลังทหารจะใช้อาวุธสงครามร้ายแรงเพียงใดก็ไม่ สามารถทำร้ายเจ้า Neighbor ได้เลย จนกระทั่งมีกลุ่มคนลึกลับที่เรียกตัวเองว่า องค์การ Border ออกมาต่อสู้กับพวก Neighbor โดยพวกเขาใช้เทคโนโลยีอาวุธเฉพาะตัว สำหรับใช้ต่อสู้กับพวก Neighbors โดยเฉพาะจนในที่สุดพวกเขาก็สามารถจัดการกับ Neighbor ได้สำเร็จ และได้ก่อตั้งตึกขององค์กรขึ้นในเมืองมิคาโดะ เพื่อกำจัด Neighbor ที่ออกมาจากประตูมิติเรื่อยๆหลังจากเหตุการณ์ประตูมิ ติครั้งแรกผ่านไปประมาณ 4 ปีครึ่ง โอซามุ มิคุโมะ ที่ได้รับความช่วยเหลือจากองค์กร Border ก็ได้รับร่วมเป็นสมาชิกขององค์กรและได้พบกับ ยูมะ คูกะ เด็กหนุ่มตัวเล็กที่มาเรียนห้องเดียวกับเขา ซึ่งจริงๆแล้ว ยูมะ คูกะ คือ Neighbor ในร่างมนุษย์ที่เดินทางข้ามมิติมายังโลกมนุษย์เพื่อจ ุดประสงค์ บางอย่าง......
