ผลงานจากผู้สร้าง Juno ภาพยนตร์ที่ได้รับเกียรติเปิดเทศกาลหนังซันแด๊นซ์ และได้รับรางวัล Grand Jury Prize มาครอง เรื่องราวของ แอนดรูว์ (รับบทโดย ไมลส์ เทลเลอร์ จาก Divergent) มือกลองหนุ่มวัย 19 ปี ที่ต้องการเป็นมากกกว่าฉากหลังในวงดนตรี โดยความฝันในการเป็นมือกลองระดับโลกก็เริ่มต้นขึ้น เมื่อเขาถูกค้นพบโดย เทอเรนซ์ เฟลชเชอร์ (เจเค ซิมมอนซ์) ครูสอนดนตรีที่มีวิธีการสอนที่เข้มข้น โดยเฉพาะเมื่อเขาเห็นพรสวรรค์ที่อยู่ในตัวเด็กคนนี้
