เห้งเจียทำความผิดจนถูกเจ้าแม่กวนอิมลงโทษ แต่พระถังซำจั๋งยอมรับผิดแทน ด้วยการยินดีแลกชีวิตของตนกับเห้งเจีย
500 ปีต่อมา เห้งเจียก็กลับชาติมาเกิดใหม่เป็น จุนเป่า หัวหน้าโจรบนเขาห้าดอย การมาถึงของปีศาจแมงมุมซันสื้อเหนียงและ จิงจิง มารกระดูกขาว
ทำให้กลุ่มโจรของจุนเป่าปั่นป่วน จุดประสงค์ของทั้งสองคือเตามหาพระถึงซำจั๋ง ต่อมาความจริงได้เปิดเผยว่า แท้จริงแล้วจุนเป่าก็คือเเห้งเจียกลับชาติมาเกิด
จิงจิงผู้เคยมีอดีตรักกับเห้งเจียรู้สึกเสียใจมาก ทั้งสองพาจุนเป่าไปที่ถ้ำสายใย แต่กลับถูกพญากระทิงตามมา จุนเป่าค้นพบกล่องวิเศษจันทรา ที่สามารถทำให้ย้อนเวลาได้ จึงย้อนกลับไปเพื่อช่วยชีวิตจิงจิง
และ ซันสื้อเหนียงแต่กล่องวิเศษกลับพาจุนเป่าย้อนเวลาไปไ กลถึง 500 ปี จนได้พบกับจอมเทพสายใย ผู้ทำให้เขาได้กลับไปเป็นเห้งเจียอีกครั้ง
