ในคืนก่อน จะเดินทางไปญี่ปุ่น ร็อบ (ไมเคิล สตัห์ล-เดวิด) กะจะใช้ปาร์ตี้เลี้ยงส่งของเขาเป็นโอกาสที่จะได้สารภ าพความรู้สึกที่เขาไม่ เคยเปิดเผยและสะสางเรื่องที่ยังคาราคาซัง แต่ความตั้งใจของร็อบกลับพลิกผันไปอย่างไม่คาดฝันเมื ่อเกิดเหตุขัดจังหวะ ความสนุกสนาน ผู้คนต่างนิ่งเงียบเพื่อดูรายงานข่าวแผ่นดินไหว ก่อนที่ทุกคนจะรีบเร่งขึ้นไปดาดฟ้าตึกเพื่อประเมินคว ามเสียหาย ลูกไฟระเบิดดังก้องจากขอบฟ้าไกลๆ ส่งผลให้ไฟดับทั้งเมือง ความสับสนกลายเป็นความโกลาหลเมื่อเหล่าแขกในงานปาร์ต ี้วิ่งเบียดเสียดกันไป ในความมืดและก้าวออกสู่ท้องถนน ท่ามกลางเสียงกรีดร้องของผู้คนและเสียงร้องกึกก้องที ่ไม่ใช่เสียงมนุษย์ ร็อบและเพื่อนๆ ของเขาต้องเดินปะปนไปกับผู้คนท่ามกลางวิวทิวทัศน์ที่ เปลี่ยนแปลงไป ขณะถูกไล่ล่าโดยบางสิ่งที่มาจากโลกอื่น น่าหวาดกลัว และโหดร้าย...
