แต่ในครั้งแรกที่วางจำหน่ายทางบริษัทเปิดตัวเฉพาะเกม ในเวอร์ชั่นภาษาญี่ปุ่น และภาษาจีนเท่านั้น ทำให้ยอดขายไม่กระเตื้องและมีกระแสตอบรับในแง่ลบค่อน ข้างมาก
ด้วยความที่เกมสามก๊ก13 เป็นเกมแนววางแผน การจำลองบทบาทของตัวละคร ต้องใช้ความรู้ทางภาษาในการเล่นเป็นอย่างมาก ทางบริษัทจึงรีบดำเนินการ (7 เดือน)
ปล่อยอัพเดทเป็นภาษาอังกฤษในเว็บขายเกมออนไลน์อย่าง STEAM และวางจำหน่ายแผ่นเกมภาษาอังกฤษสำหรับเครื่องเล่นเกม PS4 ใน 5 และ 8 กรกฎาคม 2559 ในอเมริกาและยุโรปตามลำดับ
