ส่วนในทุ่งสะวันนา นกกินผึ้งอาศัยช้างช่วยจับแมลง และที่ทุ่งทุนดราเยือกแข็งทางเหนือ
กวางคาริบูเริ่มการอพยพครั้งใหญ่ โดยมีหมาป่าอาร์กติกหิวโหยคอยตามเป็นเงา
