และความสงบสุขระหว่างมังกรกับชาวไวกิ้งกำลังถูก ดราโก้ ผู้กระหายอำนาจมาก่อกวน (นักแสดงชายผู้เข้าชิงรางวัล Academy Award ไดมอน ฮอนซู)
โดยได้รับความช่วยเหลือจากผู้ดักล่ามังกรอย่างเอเร็ต บุตรแห่งเอเร็ต ( คิท ฮาริงตัน Game of Thrones) แอสทริด (อเมริกา เฟอร์เรร่า),
ก็อบเบอร์ (เครก เฟอร์กูสัน) และเพื่อนชาวไวกิ้ง สนอทเลาท์ (โจนาห์ ฮิล), ฟิชเลก (คริสโตเฟอร์ มินซ์-พลาส) และฝาแฝดรัฟนัท (คริสเทน วิก)
และทัฟนัท (ที.เจ. มิลเลอร์) ให้การช่วยเหลือฮิคคัพ แม่ของเขา และพ่อของเขาคือสต๊อยค์ผู้ยิ่งใหญ่ (เจอราร์ด บัตเลอร์) พวกเขาต้องร่วมมือกัน
