ตลอดเวลาที่ผ่านมา มนุษย์ก่อสงคราม บ้างเพื่ออำนาจ บ้างเพื่อชัยชนะ บ้างเพื่อเกียรติยศ และบ้างก็เพื่อความรัก ในยุคกรีกโบราณ ความรักและปรารถนาแห่งสองชู้รักที่อื้อฉาวมากที่สุดใ นวรรณคดี - ปารีส เจ้าชายแห่งทรอย (ออร์แลนโด บลูม) และเฮเลน (ไดแอน ครูเกอร์) ราชินีแห่งสปาร์ตา ได้จุดชนวนสงครามที่ทำลายล้างชนชาติ เมื่อปารีสได้ลักพาตัวเฮเลนไปจากสวามีแห่งเธอ กษัตริย์เมเนลาอุส (เบรนแดน กลีสัน) ซึ่งนับว่าเป็นการหมิ่นหยามกันอย่างไม่อาจยอมได้ เกียรติศักดิ์ของวงศ์ตระกูลได้บงการว่าการสบประมาทเม เนลาอุส ก็เท่ากับได้สบประมาท อกาเมมนอน (ไบรอัน ค็อกซ์) ผู้เป็นพี่ชายเช่นกัน เขาเป็นกษัตริย์ที่ทรงอำนาจแห่งชาวไมซีเน ผู้ซึ่งรวบรวมบรรดาชนเผ่ากรีกจำนวนมากในเวลาอันรวดเร ็ว เพื่อไปชิงตัวเฮเลนกลับมาจากทรอย เพื่อปกป้องศักดิ์ศรีของน้องชาย ในความเป็นจริงแล้ว การไล่ตามเพื่อศักดิ์ศงอกาเมมนอนนั้น ถูกครอบงำไว้ด้วยความโลภอย่างมหาศาลของเขา เขาต้องการมีชัยเหนือทรอยเพื่อครอบครองอีเจียน มันจะเป็นการยืนยันถึงอำนาจสูงสุดแห่งอาณาจักรอันมโห ฬารอยู่แล้วของเขา เมืองที่ล้อมรอบด้วยกำแพง ภายใต้การนำของกษัตริย์ไปรอัม (ปีเตอร์ โอทูล) และการปกป้องของเจ้าชายเฮกเตอร์ผู้กล้าหาญ (อีริค บานา) เป็นป้อมปราการมั่นคงที่ไม่เคยมีกองทัพใดสามารถทำลาย ได้ มีเพียงชายหนุ่มผู้เดียวเท่านั้นที่เป็นกุญแจสำคัญสู ่ชัยชนะหรือความพ่ายแพ้ต่อทรอย อคิลลิส (แบรด พิตต์) ซึ่งเชื่อกันว่าเป็นนักรบผู้ยิ่งใหญ่ที่สุดที่มีชีวิ ตอยู่ ยโส หัวแข็ง และดูเหมือนไม่มีใครเอาชนะได้ อคิลลิส ไม่ภักดีต่อสิ่งใดและผู้ใด เขารักษาแต่ชื่อเสียงของตนเองไว้ ความกระหายที่จะมีชื่อเสียงไปตลอดกาลอย่างไม่รู้จักพ อของเขา คือสิ่งที่นำเขาไปสู่การโจมตีประตูเมืองแห่งทรอย ภายใต้การนำของอกาเมมนอน แต่ที่สุดแล้วความรักจะเป็นเครื่องตัดสินของเขา สองอาณาจักรจะเข้าสู่สงครามเพื่อเกียรติยศและอำนาจ ผู้คนนับพันจะล้มตายบนเส้นทางสู่ชัยชะ และเพื่อรัก บ้านเมืองจะถูกเผาจนเหลือเพียงเถ้าถ่าน!!!
