เรื่องย่อ
ภาคแรก เป็นการบอกว่ามนุษย์ได้ทำสงครามกับเครื่องจักร จนถึงขั้นที่มนุษย์ต้องทำลายท้องฟ้าเพื่อตัดพลังงานแ สงอาทิตย์ไม่ให้มีพลังงานไปป้อนกับเครื่องจักร

เรื่องย่อ
เดอะ เมทริกซ์ รีโหลดเดด: สงครามมนุษย์เหนือโลก เปิดฉากขึ้นด้วยนิมิตรประหลาดในฝันของนีโอ
สองปีผ่านไปหลังจากการปลดปล่อยตัวเองได้อย่างสมบูรณ์ กลายเป็นเดอะวัน (The One) ทำให้นีโอต้องปฏิบัติภารกิจต่างๆ เพื่อยุติสงครามตามคำทำนายของเทพยากรณ์
และความเชื่อของมอร์เฟียส ในนิมิตของเขานั้น เขาเห็นทรินิตี้คนรักต้องตาย แต่นั่นมันมีความหมายว่าอย่างไรกันแน่?
ระหว่างนั้นเอง ข่าวสารจากยานโอไซริสซึ่งส่งมาก่อนจะสูญหายไปก็ได้ระ บุว่าพวกเครื่องจักรบนพื้นโลกกำลังทำการขุดเจาะลงใต้ พื้นดิน ตำแหน่งเป้าหมายก็คือไซออน
เมืองสุดท้ายของมนุษยชาติ นั่นหมายความว่าถ้าไม่ทำอะไรสักอย่าง สุดท้ายแล้วพวกเครื่องจักรก็จะบุกมาถึงไซออน และถึงคราวสูญสิ้นของเผ่าพันธุ์มนุษย์ในที่สุด
นีโอซึ่งกำลังสับสนระหว่างเส้นทางของตัวเองและอนาคตข องมนุษย์ที่เหลือตัดสินใจไปพบกับเทพยากรณ์เพื่อขอคำป รึกษา
ขณะเดียวกัน สายลับสมิธซึ่งน่าจะถูกทำลายไปแล้วก็กลับมาอีกครั้ง คราวนี้เขามีพลังอำนาจเหมือนกับนีโอทุกประการ
ที่ร้ายกว่านั้นคือเขาสามารถเปลี่ยนผู้คนอื่นๆในเมทร ิกซ์ให้กลายเป็นตัวเขาเองด้วย นั่นหมายความว่านีโอต้องต่อกรกับสมิธอีกนับร้อยตัว
นีโอเพิ่งจะพบว่าแท้จริงเทพยากรณ์นั้นไม่ใช่มนุษย์ แต่เป็นโปรแกรมที่เขียนขึ้นโดยเมทริกซ์ ทำให้เขาไม่แน่ใจว่าจะเชื่อเธอได้หรือไม่
แต่อย่างไรก็ตาม คำแนะนำจากเทพยากรณ์ก็คือ สงครามนั้นใกล้จะถึงจุดสุดท้ายเต็มที และหนทางเดียวที่จะแก้ปัญหาได้ก็คือการกลับไปสู่แหล่ งกำเนิด (The Source)
ซึ่งหนทางจะไปสู่แหล่งกำเนิดนั้น จำเป็นต้องอาศัยความร่วมมือจากบุคคลที่ชื่อว่าช่างทำ กุญแจ (The Key Maker)
แต่บัดนี้ช่างทำกุญแจถูกคุมขังไว้ด้วยโปรแกรมอันตราย อีกตัวหนึ่งซึ่งพวกนีโอจะต้องหาทางเจรจา
เพื่อให้ได้ตัวช่างทำกุญแจมา และเข้าไปสู่แหล่งกำเนิดเพื่อค้นพบต้นตอและทางแก้ปัญ หาทั้งหมด
เรื่องลุกลามขึ้นเมื่อสมิธไม่ได้จำกัดตัวเองอยู่แค่ใ นเมทริกซ์ แต่เขาสามารถออกมาสู่โลกจริงได้แล้ว จุดมุ่งหมายตอ่ไปของเขาก็คือยึดครองอำนาจและแก้แค้น
ทั้งในเมทริกซ์และในโลกจริง พวกนีโอจึงต้องหาทางยุติปัญหาให้ได้ทั้งสมิธและเครื่ องจักรที่กำลังมุ่งตรงสู่มนุษยชาติ ก่อนที่ทุกอย่างจะสายเกินไป!!!

เรื่องย่อ
จับความต่อจากภาคที่แล้ว หลังจากเกิดเหตุระเบิดขึ้นกับยานลำอื่นๆ ผู้มีชีวิตรอดคนเดียวที่ค้นพบก็คือเบน แต่ไม่มีใครล่วงรู้เลยว่าภายในตัวเบนนั้นถูกยึดครองอ ย่างเต็มที่แล้วจากสมิธ
ซึ่งต้องการจะตามแก้แค้นนีโอไปทุกที่ ฝ่ายนีโอนั้นหลังจากทราบความจริงอันน่าตกตะลึงจากสถา ปนิกผู้ให้กำเนิดเมทริกซ์แล้วก็ยิ่งสงสัยในทางที่ตนค วรจะเดินอีก
ขณะเดียวกัน ทางไซออนก็แจ้งมาว่าเครื่องจักรนั้นบุกถึงเมืองแล้ว และชาวเมืองก็ต้องรวมกำลังกันต่อต้านอย่างเต็มที่ มอร์เฟียสและพรรคพวกต้องรีบกลับเมืองให้เร็วที่สุดเพ ื่อเป็นกำลังสำคัญ
แต่นีโอกลับเลือกจะไปยังแหล่งกำเนิดที่แท้จริงนั่นก็ คือเมืองของเครื่องจักร แม้จะรู้ว่าอันตรายถึงชีวิตแต่นีโอก็ยังต้องเลือกไป ทรินิตี้ผู้เชื่อมั่นในคนรักของตนอาสาจะไปด้วย
ทางด้านไซออนที่กำลังเจอศึกหนักกับเครื่องจักร เหล่าเอพียูส์ที่นำโดยกัปตันมิฟูเน่เริ่มร่วงไปที่ละ ตัวๆ ในขณะที่เหตุการณ์ในโลกจริงกำลังใกล้จะถึงจุดสิ้นสุด
โลกเมทริกซ์ก็กำลังจะล่มสลายด้วยฝีมือของสมิธผู้ยึดค รองร่างของทุกคนในเมทริกซ์ไว้และเปลี่ยนให้กลายเป็นต ัวเอง
นีโอจึงต้องต่อสู้ครั้งสุดท้ายเพื่อให้สงครามจบลงอย่ างสมบูรณ์ เพียงแต่ว่าฝ่ายไหนจะเป็นฝ่ายชนะ ระหว่างมนุษย์หรือเครื่องจักร!!!
