หลังจากที่ Good Will Hunting หนังปี 1997 ประสบความสำเร็จบนเวทีออสการ์ งานกำกับของ กัส แวง แซงต์ พร้อม 2 นักแสดงนำอย่าง แมตต์ เดม่อน และ เบน แอฟเฟล็ค ที่ต่างโดดเด่นกันเกินความคาดหมาย และในปีนี้ผู้กำกับคนเก่ง กัส แวง แซงต์ และนักแสดงมากฝีมืออย่าง แมตต์ เดม่อน ก็ได้โคจรกลับมาร่วมงานอีกครั้งในรอบ 15 ปี ในภาพยนตร์ดราม่าสุดเข้มข้นเรื่อง Promised Land หรือที่มีชือภาษาไทยว่า "สวรรค์แห่งนี้...ไม่สิ้นหวัง" ซึ่งนอกจากหนุ่ม แมตต์ เดม่อน จะรับบทนำของเรื่องยังรั้งตำแหน่งมือเขียนบทภาพยนตร์ เรื่องนี้อีกด้วย
