เรื่องย่อ: Odd Thomas อ็อด โทมัส เห็นความตาย

หนังเรื่อง Odd Thomas เห็นความตาย เป็น เรื่องราวของ อ็อด โทมัส (แอนตัน เยลซิน) พ่อครัวร้านอาหารเล็ก ๆ กลางทะเลทรายในแคลิฟอร์เนีย แต่เขาก็ไม่ใช่พ่อครัวธรรมดา เมื่อเขามีความสามารถพิเศษในการมองเห็นคนตาย และเห็นเงาลึกลับที่ปรากฏตัวอยู่ใกล้ ๆ คนเป็น ที่บ่งบอกว่าคนคนนั้นกำลังจะตาย หรือเป็นสาเหตุของความตายที่จะเกิดขึ้น… วันหนึ่งเขาได้พบกับผู้ชายที่เขาเรียกว่า “มนุษย์เชื้อรา” และชายคนนั้นมี “เงา” ติดตามอยู่มหาศาลในแบบที่เขาไม่เคยพบเห็นมาก่อน อ็อด โทมัส เชื่อว่าสิ่งนี้อาจนำไปสู่หายนะครั้งยิ่งใหญ่ที่สุด มีเขาคนเดียว! ที่มองเห็นคนตายไปแล้ว มีเขาคนเดียว! ที่เห็นเงาแห่งความตายกำลังออกอาละวาด เขาชื่อ อ๊อด โธมัส ชายหนุ่มหน้าตาซื้อๆ อาชีพเป็นพ่อครัวในร้านอาหารเล็กๆ มีสาวสวยที่เขากำลังปิ๊ง มีแก๊งค์เพื่อนซี้ไว้แฮงก์เอาท์ ซึ่งทั้งหมดนี้ ชีวิตของเขา…ควรจะธรรมดา! ความสามารถพิเศษที่ดันติดตัวเขามาตั้งแต่เกิดกลับเป็ นการ “เห็นความตาย” นั่นเลยกลายเป็นว่า เขาต้องคอยสะสางสาระพัดเรื่องให้กับคนที่ตายไปแล้วอย ่างช่วยไม่ได้ และวันหนึ่ง เขาได้พบกับชายลึกลับที่ปรากฏตัว พร้อมกับเงาแห่งความตายจำนวนมหาศาลโผล่มาจู่โจมคนในเ มือง รวมทั้งสาวที่เขากำลังตกหลุมรัก มันจึงเป็นเหมือนลางร้าย ที่กำลังบอกว่าเมืองนี้กำลังตกอยู่ในเงื้อมมือแห่งคว ามตาย แหงล่ะ! จึงเป็นใครไปไม่ได้ นอกจาก อ๊อด โธมัส ที่จะต้องจัดการกับกองทัพของเงามรณะ ก่อนที่ทุกอย่างจะสายเกินไป
