Clip (Serbian: Klip) is a 2012 Serbian drama film directed by Maja Milos and tells the story young teenager girl Jasna who is obsessed with sex. Jasna is a teenage girl living in the poor suburbs in the south of Belgrade, Serbia. She likes to record everything around her using a mobile phone camera. She is making videos of herself, her school friends, family and Djole - the boy of her dreams. Her family is a mess: father is terminally ill and mother is barely coping. That s why she is spending more and more time hanging out with her school friends, partying and drinking. At one of the parties, she finally starts a conversation with Djole and later they develop an intense sexual relationship. When he realizes that she will do anything to be close to him, Djole starts using her as a sexual object. Jasna starts to experiment with drugs and to skip school. Her life is getting out of control and she needs Djole to accept and reciprocate her affections. The film became controversial for its depiction of some explicit scenes, supposedly performed by then fourteen years old actress Isidora Simjonovic. However, the authenticity of those scenes is still debatable. The director said in her interviews that Simjonovic had been exposed to some degree of explicitness, however Milos didn t tell how much of it nor to what kind of sexual acts. Also, Milos said that prosthetic, dildos, special visual effects, body doubles had also been used, as well as the film had had long post production period but actually, she said nothing unsimulated sex. However, due to the both film s hyper-realism and the use of minors as the main actors, film was banned in Russia as being a child pornography.
The film was released in Serbia on April 12, 2012 at Belgrade s Sava Center. It won KNF Award and Tiger Award at the 2012 Rotterdam International Film Festival.
